ViGEm Output
ViGEm Output creates a virtual controller that Windows games and applications can use.
Controller Types
- Xbox 360 Controller: widest compatibility with Windows games.
- DualShock 4 Controller: use when the target app specifically supports a DS4 or PlayStation Remote Play path.
Setup
| Step | Action |
|---|---|
| 1 | Open ViGEm Output and check ViGEm Status. |
| 2 | If unavailable, click Install ViGEmBus and wait for Helios to report the installer result. Restart Windows only when the status says it is required. |
| 3 | Select the virtual controller type. |
| 4 | Start the input and optional script tools. |
| 5 | Start ViGEm Output and confirm Controller: âĻ Active. |
Troubleshooting
- Driver unavailable: reinstall ViGEmBus from the panel and restart Windows if required.
- Game sees no controller: start ViGEm before launching the game or rescan controllers in the game.
- Double input: prevent the game from using both the physical and virtual controllers.
- Wrong button prompts: switch the selected virtual controller type.
