Installation
Base Requirements
- 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11
- An AVX2-capable processor
- A supported controller, keyboard/mouse, capture source, or output device for the workflow you plan to use
- Internet access for downloads, updates, sign-in, and Online Resources

Install and Launch

Keep the packaged files together. Do not run the executable from inside the archive.
First Preferences
- Appearance: choose language, theme, and a setup.
- Hardware: choose the Compute GPU; optionally enable capture audio or Fuser output.
- Python: search for or select a Python 3.10+ environment.
- Account: sign in with Discord or a one-time email link when a feature requires access. See account setup for linking methods and copying your Input Sense ID.
Developer Mode is needed only for publishing, authoring/compilation controls, and direct input-to-output passthrough switches. It is not needed to run ordinary processed workflows or downloaded content.
Updates
Helios checks for updates after startup. Use Tools â Check for Updates for a manual check. Close other Helios windows when the updater asks, and let the update finish before launching Helios again.
Troubleshooting
- If Helios does not start, re-extract a fresh complete package and confirm the CPU supports AVX2.
- If Windows removed or blocked a file, restore only a package obtained from the official download and re-extract it.
- Install optional drivers from the plugin that needs them, not pre-emptively.
- If a Python environment is invalid, select a different Python 3.10+ environment in Preferences.
