KS Capture
KS Capture uses Windows Kernel Streaming for compatible capture devices. It is a useful low-latency alternative when the device exposes a stable YUY2 or NV12 stream.

Use

Start with NV12 when USB bandwidth is limited or the requested frame rate is high. Try YUY2 when the device supports it reliably and image fidelity is the priority.
Troubleshooting
- Device missing: confirm its Windows driver is installed, reconnect it, and refresh.
- Start fails: choose a mode explicitly listed by the device and close vendor capture software, OBS, or other users of the source.
- Black or unstable video: verify the source signal, cabling, and supported resolution/refresh rate.
- Stream format changed or ended: refresh the device list, reselect a mode the driver currently exposes, and start capture again.
- Driver data error: reconnect the device and update its Windows driver before retrying.
- Dropped frames: reduce frame rate or resolution, try NV12, and use a direct USB 3.x connection where applicable.
- Still incompatible: use DS Capture or MF Capture for the same device.
