KBM Input
KBM Input captures Windows keyboard and mouse input in a dedicated capture overlay.
Controls
- Capture Keyboard
- Capture Mouse
- Write to KBM Output for direct passthrough (visible only in Developer Mode)
- Live keyboard and mouse update rates
At least one capture type must be selected before starting. Helios remembers the keyboard and mouse selections. When mouse capture starts, the cursor is anchored at the center of the capture overlay until capture ends.
Use
| Step | Action |
|---|---|
| 1 | Choose keyboard, mouse, or both. |
| 2 | For direct keyboard/mouse passthrough, enable Developer Mode and Write to KBM Output. Leave it off when GPC 3 or another processor produces output. |
| 3 | Start capture and interact with the capture overlay. |
| 4 | Press Esc + Left Shift to exit capture. |
For controller conversion, create a .ipt profile in Input Translator and select it in GPC 3.
Troubleshooting
- If capture will not start, select at least one of keyboard or mouse.
- If input remains captured, press Esc + Left Shift, then stop KBM Input.
- If mapped controller output does not move, confirm GPC 3 is running with the intended translator and destination.
