What is Helios?

Helios is a modular Windows app for controller input, GPC3 scripting, video capture, computer vision, and output through virtual controllers, hardware bridges, or Remote Play.

Do I need a capture card?

Only for workflows that use video or computer vision. Controller passthrough, GPC3 scripts, and Input Translator profiles do not require one.

Do I need a GPU?

Not for ordinary controller routing or GPC3. A compatible GPU is used for detection, pose, segmentation, OCR, and engine building. Select it under Preferences → Hardware.

Do I need Python?

Only for CV Python and Python-assisted features such as certain model or firmware tools. Helios requires Python 3.10 or newer and can search for available environments from Preferences.

Do I need a Titan Two or Makcu?

No. They are hardware output options. ViGEm provides a local virtual controller, and Remote Play can reach supported consoles without a bridge device.

Can I use a PlayStation controller for PC games?

Yes. Capture it with DS4 Input or DS5 Input and send the output through ViGEm as a DualShock 4 or Xbox 360 controller, depending on what the game accepts.

Can I run multiple scripts?

You can load multiple scripting tools, but each additional script can change the same output. Start with one processing script and add others only when their responsibilities do not conflict.

Where should I keep scripts?

Choose a working directory in File Explorer. You can create GPC3, CV Python, and CV C++ source files there and select them directly from the matching tool.

How do I start several tools together?

Create a Run Group from the Activity Bar, select up to six tools, and use the group tile to start or stop them together.

Which video display should I use?

OpenGL Display is the hardware-accelerated preview. Video Display is the CPU-rendered alternative. Both allow a reduced display rate so previewing does not need every frame.

Do GPC 3 or Magewell Capture require an account?

No. Both plugins are included free with Helios and can be used without signing in. An account is still needed for account-linked Online Resources actions and content that has restricted access.

Do I need Discord to use Online Resources?

You can browse without signing in and sign in with email to receive resource access. Publishing, managing your resources, and personal integration keys require both Discord and a verified email linked to the same Input Sense account. New uploads also require a Discord account at least 90 days old and an Input Sense account at least 7 days old. See Online Resources.
